Pequea has our final meeting face-to-face at 6:30 PM this Thursday, May 12th at Pequea!
We are in need of a PTO President for the 2022-2023 school year! You will have lots of helping hands from the rest of officers as well as the principal. Please consider! Remember, the PTO helps to organize and coordinate great activities for our students. Without the volunteers, we will not be able to host the activities and “extras”. We have even had Co-Presidents before that tag team and complete the job together.
Duties would begin with a summer meeting with the other officers and Dr. Murray to lay out the tentative calendar and activities for the 2022-2023 year. Then, there are monthly meetings and occasional activities throughout the year. However, having other volunteers contributing and helping is key!

We are super excited to take an all-school field trip again! This day is a great opportunity for us to spend time together outside of the school building connecting and enjoying each other’s company in a less formal environment.
This year’s trip will be to Muddy Run Park in Holtwood, PA on Tuesday, May 24th (rain date May 31st). Students will engage in a variety of outdoor activities focusing on social skills, conservation, animals, nature, the life cycle, etc. Partnering with us to make this possible is Muddy Run Park, PA Game Commission, PA Fish & Boat Commission, and Raven Ridge Wildlife Center.
We will depart the school at 9:30 AM and return at 2:25 PM. All faculty and staff will be chaperoning the trip so we do not need additional chaperones. It is important that students be on-time to school as we have a schedule to keep and will not be able to turn around for anyone who might miss the bus. All kindergarten students are invited to attend the full day with us reporting to school for a 9:00 start and dismissing with all other students at 3:25 PM. Students should plan to dress appropriately for the day’s activities. Sneakers are strongly encouraged and please consider applying sunblock to your child in the morning before they leave for school. NO FLIPFLOPS!
The school will provide a picnic lunch and students have a choice of three options:
- Pizza Lunchable Kit
- Turkey Sub
- Peanut Butter & Jelly (grape jelly)
The accompaniments will be: chips, fruit, juice, and water.
An extra surprise for our students will be TJ’s Ice Cream Truck! We will provide a list of available items for you prior to our trip so you can review for any student with allergy or diet restrictions.
Please complete the form below for each child in your household. There are two options for completion: one is an electronic form you can complete online. The other is a form you can download and print. If needed we have also made the form available in print from our website that you can download and print to complete per child. Please complete all permission and lunch orders by Monday, May 9th at 12:00 PM.

May 12 is our fun-filled day of activities, otherwise called House Wars. Our four houses will compete in various fun team-building activities. Houses will earn points not only based on wins or points scored but also sportsmanship and character. To help your child be better prepared for the day please consider the weather forecast. Each child will be spending about two hours outside.
- Have a filled water bottle with their name clearly printed on it
- Wear sneakers
- Consider wearing shorts and house tshirts (if your child cannot find their house tshirt, they may wear any school appropriate shirt of that color)
At the completion of the students’ activities they will enjoy a cool treat from our Pequea PTO. Please complete the permission form HERE for your child. We ask that everyone complete it for EACH child so we know of possible alternative plans.
