The Traveling Trophy was presented to our students who participated in the Fun Run on Saturday, September 23. Pequea had the highest percentage of students participating in the run. Thanks for representing Pequea in a big way! We are proud of you!
In honor of Memorial Day, school is not in session on Monday, May 29. Also, school is in session tomorrow, Friday, May 26, for a weather make-up day. All students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow, Friday, May 26, for a patriotic assembly.

The theme of their program was kindness, and the girls helped the evening custodians complete their tasks. They also decorated the school with positive sticky notes! Medication: Please pick-up all medication from the nurse’s office before the end-of-the-year.
Lunch: Please make sure all outstanding balances are paid before June 6. You can pay online through MySchoolBucks. There is also an iOS and Android app available.
Library: Check with your student to make sure all library books are accounted for and returned to the library.
Lost and Found: Have your student check the lost and found outside the office if you’re missing something. Items remaining in our collection on the last day of school are donated to charity.
Last Day of School: The last day of school for kindergarten students is Tuesday, June 6, and first through sixth grade end of June 7, at 11:30 AM. Breakfast and lunch is not served on the final day of the year, Wednesday, June 7.
Sapphire: Are you signed up for Sapphire? View our Sapphire Sign-Up Information to register. Second grade families should register as soon as possible so your accounts are active for the 2017-2018 school year.
Childcare Procedures: Thinking of using a babysitter before or after school next year? Forms for alternate transportation (same school zone, different address or bus stop) are due by June 30! Click HERE for more information.

To prevent the spread of illness, parents and students are urged to follow recommendations from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, which are outlined in a letter sent home with students on May 24.

Our spring sports teams had successful seasons, and many of our former Pequea Elementary student-athletes played integral roles in their success. The boys’ volleyball won the section title, and they’re currently playing in the District III tournament. Our boys’ track and field team won the section and league title. Baseball: Our baseball team won the Section 1 title, and three former Pequea students were named all-stars. Congratulations to Ryan Witmer and Dalton Landis for second-team selections, and Grant Gale earned first-team honors for section 1.
Softball: Our softball team won both the Section 1 and the LL league title. Brittany Hook, Abby Busswood, Tori Malpica, Lauren Sensenich, and Maddy Curtis are student-athletes from Pequea Elementary to round out the roster. The girls are currently playing in the District III tournament. Brittany Hook earned first-team honors, and Abby Busswood was an honorable mention selection.
Field Hockey: Rated one of the top 50 players in the nation, former Pequea Elementary student-athlete, Gabby Bitts, accepted an athletic scholarship to play field hockey at Ohio State University.
