Spring Fling is TONIGHT

Today is the day of the Spring Fling held at Comet Field (by the Sheetz on Millersville Road).

As usual, there will be fireworks, food, games, inflatables, the ice pool of terror, and a hot dog eating contest. This year there are many new things to look forward to! The Army will be bringing a mobile usability lab exhibit. The exhibit offers different simulations such as distracted driving and humvee operation. A new and exciting game called the ping pong toss is coming to Spring Fling this year. You can compete against your friends to win a prize!

Wristbands for access to all inflatable will cost $15 per student. You can purchase additional wristbands for immediate family members for $10. Come out to Spring Fling this evening for a great time with your friends and family!

Penn Manor Welcomes a Special Guest from England

On Monday, April 30th,  Penn Manor hosted a special guest from England to learn more about our early childhood initiatives and also ways we address diversity within Penn Manor. Dr. Chandrika Devarankonda joined us for the LeTort Lunch and Learn and watched as the children heard a story, Caps for Sale, by Esphyr Slobodkina. She watched the young children engage in a cutting, counting and matching craft that related to the story. It was a joy to see the parents engaged with their children and building early relationships with the school team.

Sometimes when you attend events at your school you take for granted the huge benefits that children get out of these special events. It was fun to have a guest from a different schooling system reflect on our practices and collaborate on the importance of early childhood learning in all settings. Way to go Penn Manor!
