Star Lab at Pequea Elementary

Thanks to Mrs. Judy Keller, Technology Training Consultant who brought the IU13 Star Lab to Pequea!

Classes were able to take advantage of some educational time exploring content such as: stars, continents, cells, etc. inside an inflatable planetarium.

Brighter Days at Pequea Elementary

Pequea Elementary School bus driver Roxy Carrigan is featured in a new video series produced by WITF that showcases outstanding employees at local schools.

Called “Brighter Days,” the series focuses on the positive impact staff members have on students. The three- to five-minute videos focus on the programs and relationships that make students, educators, and community members feel seen, understood, and inspired.

You can watch it more of the videos here.

Congratulations to Roxy, and many thanks to WITF and IU 13 for shining a spotlight on these outstanding employees.

Sizzle Palooza

We had a great time celebrating our summer efforts on Friday!

Throughout the summer, students were encouraged to work on their summer workbooks and return them upon return in August. We had 191 students participate! This is fantastic!

We also offered five weekly evening events for families to join us to learn some basic strategies and activities to work with children at home and to continue to make learning fun. We were able to work with 25 families and 40 students.

In appreciation of our students' hard work and efforts, we celebrated with our Sizzle Palooza on Friday, 9/16. Students enjoyed games including ping pong & corn hole, tye dye, and inflatables.

Kudos for all your work!

An Infinite World of Dots

Students had the opportunity to step into the world of Yayoi Kusama this week in art class as Mrs. Steffy tranformed her classroom. Be sure to ask your child about the fun!

First Week of 2022-2023

We had a great first week of school!

We kicked off the school year with an all school assembly and reminded students of our expectations and all of our roles in having a successful school year!
